808v5 Signature Reference CD Player
As part of the Reference 800 Series, the 808v5 is the highest performance CD Player manufactured by Meridian, and forms the heart of Meridian's ultimate music system.
808 inherits Meridian's 30-year tradition of award-winning players, while setting new benchmarks in audio performance. The new 808v5 features the latest linear power supply, a brand new master clock and timing circuitry to minimise jitter (40% less than previous models) for improved sound source localisation, clarity and imaging, while the proprietary ‘apodising' digital upsampling filter system developed by Meridian adds a new accuracy and clarity to CD replay - even correcting digital faults in the original recording, and helping to make CDs played on the 808v5 sound like high resolution recordings.
In addition the 808v5 includes improved DSP feeding the analogue outputs for a sweeter sound, and new firmware to support SpeakerLink enhancements such as subwoofer level, Enhanced Boundary Control (EBC), crossover adjustments and other features such as bass timing and loudness adjustments.
808v5 offers an array of high-performance analogue and digital inputs, including multiple SpeakerLink and optical digital inputs, as well as analogue, digital and SpeakerLink outputs. These features combine with source switching and volume control facilities, enabling 808v5 to work as a high-performance pre-amplifier for other sources in the same system.
In addition to its standard inputs, 808v5 includes an enhanced replay card for a Meridian Digital Media System. Once connected, the card appears as a zone within the system and renders audio for playback through any of the 808's outputs. The signal is also upsampled via the apodising filter for the ultimate in audio performance. A USB input card is also provided to allow the replay of computer sources through the 808: the card also provides three optical digital inputs and two SpeakerLink inputs.
The 808v5 is offered in Graphite as standard, with Piano Lacquer Black or Silver available at no additional cost. In addition, the full range of Meridian Select colour options is available.

Určite krásny stroj , ale to už by som ani neradil medzi CDP. Dokáže omnoho viac ako CDP a podla
